ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a direction, directing the respondents to provide domestic service connection to the petitioner's residence situated at No.3, Oodai Street, Katukudalur Post, Nemam Village, Maduranthagam Division, Chengalpattu District - 603319.

2. It is the contention of the petitioner that he has purchased the property by way of unregistered sale deed dated 03.09.2021. Pursuant to the purchase, he has constructed a small house with a thatched roof in 100 sq.ft., and the petitioner is posession and enjoyment till date without any hindrance. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the petitioner has not been provided with domestic service till date. Hence, seeks for a direction.

3. The learned standing counsel for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that if the petitioner makes a fresh application along with the indemnity bond as required by the Electricity Board, they will consider the same and provide the electricity connection.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage 2 / 5

itself.

5. Such view of the matter, let the petitioner make a fresh application with necessary indemnity bond to the respondent TANGEDCO within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. On such application being made, the Respondents Corporation shall consider the application of the petitioner and provide electricity connection and pass appropriate order(s) on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months thereafter.
