JUDGMENT
This petition has been filed by the petitioner praying this Court to punish the respondent for wilful disobedience of the order dated 12.08.2025 passed by this Court in W.P.No.24948 of 2025.
2. When the matter was taken up, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents produced a copy of the order dated 26.03.2026 stating that, pursuant to the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.24948 of 2025, the District Collector, Chennai had been requested to send a proposal for issuing alienation orders for alienation of subject lands in favour of TNUHDB and accordingly, a recommendation was forwarded to Government on 25.02.2026. Based on the said recommendation, G.O.(M)s.No.357, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, dated 13.03.2026 came to be issued for alienation of the subject lands. Recording the same, this contempt petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. 27.03.2026 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No NHS
