(The Order of the Court was made by P.Velmurugan, J) This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.10.2025, with regard to transfer of remand/convict prisoner namely Chandrasekaran @ Saidapet Chandru, S/o.Kanaksabai, aged about 36 years, from Central Prison, Trichy to Puzhal, Chennai.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 30.10.2025 has not been considered and hence, the present petition has been filed seeking suitable directions to the respondents.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, submitted that the representation of the petitioner is under consideration.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and since this writ petition is filed seeking a simple writ of mandamus to consider the 2 / 4
petitioner's representation, this Court without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.10.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
