Mr.A.Gopinath Government Advocate (Crl.Side) COMMON ORDER The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.11.2025 for the offences punishable under sections 420, 465, 466, 467, 468, 471 r/w. 120B, 34 of IPC in Crime No.01 of 2002 in CC Nos.10508/2010,

10505/2010, 10510/2010, 10507/2010, 10506/2010 and 10509/2010 on the file of XI Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, seeks bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he was earlier arrested and released on bail, but he jumped bail on 17.03.2025. A Non-Bailable Warrant was issued and executed on 14.11.2025, and the petitioner is in judicial custody.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the CBCID investigated one case and filed separate final reports in six cases, and the petitioner regularly appeared before the trial court. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to cooperate with the trial. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the case is posted for examination of the Investigation Officer, who also appeared today for examination. He further submitted that the petitioner absconded for nearly 8 months, and there is a likelihood that the trial of the cases would be concluded soon. Hence, he opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner absconded for 8 months and the case is of the year 2010, if the petitioner is granted bail, there is a likelihood that

he will once again delay the process, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
