ORDER

The Petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 420 of IPC, 396(b), 351(2) of BNS Act, in Crime No. 396 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The allegation against the petitioner is that this petitioner joined hands with other accused promised to secure government job in various departments and accordingly, they collected a sum of Rs.3,86,000/- from the de-facto complainant and thereafter, cheated the de-facto complainant. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ranked as A2 and the majority of the allegations levelled against A1 who was collected money and the petitioner herein has not collected any money from the de-facto complainant and he is ready to abide by any condition imposed by this Court. He prays anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that, out of two persons, A1 was also arrested in this case and in the FIR itself categorically stated that this petitioner has also made promise to secure the government jobs in various departments. Further, this petitioner has also received a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- and therefore, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the fact that a huge amount has been collected from the de-facto complainant to secure a government job in various departments and further allegation against the petitioner, is having Rs.3,50,000/- with him, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
