O R D E R

The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to consider the complaint of the petitioner dated 03.10.2025 and take action against respondents 3 to 5. Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 & 2.

In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Notice to respondents 3 to 5 is dispensed with inasmuch as no order prejudicial to their interest is passed. 4.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner lodged a complaint on 03.10.2025 before the respondent police against respondents 3 to 5, alleging that he was cheated by them to the tune of Rs.66 lakhs. Despite registering the complaint in the Community Service Register, no further action has been taken on the petitioner's complaint. Hence, the present petition has been filed. 2/5

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for respondents 1 & 2, submitted that the complaint of the petitioner dated 03.10.2025 was received by the second respondent and that an enquiry is being conducted in C.No.404/Genl/DSP-DCB/CBE/2025. He further submitted that the enquiry would be completed at the earliest. 6.

In view of the above, this Court directs the second respondent police to complete the enquiry on the petitioner's complaint dated 03.10.2025, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law. 7.

Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 02.02.2026 ham 3/5
