The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a directions to the respondent to settle the bill of Rs.72,23,324/- together with eligible interest for the belated payments for having completed the work on the basis of the work order issued to the petitioner on 09.10.2024 on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 24.11.2025.

3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent submits that payment was withheld due to pendency of the writ petition and however, no interim order has been passed in the said writ petition restraining the respondent from making payment.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the limited request sought by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to settle the contract amount due to the petitioner for the work completed under Work Order dated 09.10.2024, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is not legal impediment. Mere pendency of the writ petition shall not be a reason to withhold payment in the absence of any prohibitory order.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
