O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to disburse the difference sum of retirement benefits to the petitioner as admitted by the second respondent Communication in Letter No.156/Sa.Ni.27/TNSTC (V) Ltd/VR/2013 dated 01.11.2024 with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement within a time limit as fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner served as Selection Checking Inspector in the respondent Corporation and retired from service in the year 2013. He continued that the retirement benefits were calculated on the pre-revised pay scale and hence, there arose difference in disbursement of his terminal benefits, for which, he made representations and since no response, he filed W.P.No.31741 of 2023 and pursuant to the aforesaid writ order of this Court dated 06.11.2023, the second respondent considered his representation and admitted their liability towards difference in terminal benefits. He further submitted that as the admitted amount has not been disbursed, he made a detailed representation to the respondents on 24.10.2025, however, there was no response till date and hence, the present Petition.
4. Per contra, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents fairly admitted the contentions of the petitioner and submitted that there may be a direction to the respondents to disburse the same.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsels on either side, this Court directs the respondents to pay the differential amount of retirement benefits to the petitioner as admitted by the second respondent with interest at the rate of 6% p.a. from the date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, taking into account the bank rate of interest on deposits.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
