Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the Chief Executive Officer, Tamilnadu Wakf Board - the first respondent herein to appoint renovation committee from and among the haqdars/beneficiaries of the Dargah to open the separate Bank Account for the purpose of handling the renovation funds and give signing authority to any three persons from and among the Haqdars/Beneficiaries of Dargah for handling the Bank Accounts by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2025 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is to consider the petitioner's representation, whereunder the petitioner prays that the first respondent Waqf Board to appoint a renovation committee and carry out the renovation work.

2. Upon hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perusing the affidavit, the grievance of the petitioner is that the Government has now allotted funds for renovation of the Dargah. The petitioner, being one of the joint mutavallis, is making allegations against the other joint mutavalli. It is made clear that this Court disposes of the writ petition at the admission stage and the response of the second respondent was not heard by this Court. Therefore, everything has to be considered by the first respondent in accordance with law.

3. In view of the limited relief that is being granted, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. The first respondent shall consider the representation dated 24.11.2025 and pass orders thereon in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. It is needless to

mention that, while considering the representation, both parties, namely the petitioner as well as the second respondent shall be heard by the first respondent. No costs.
