The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 13.08.2025 and to confer permanent status from 2009 as per the order passed by the Hon'ble Authority vide Na.Ka.No.Aa.929/2011 dated 31.08.2015 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.Raja, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. The petitioner is working as Senior Driver in the Namakkal Bus Depot and he was appointed through employment exchange. It is the case of the petitioner that, despite completion of 480 days, his services were not regularized. Aggrieved by which, the petitioner filed an application before the authority under the Tamilnadu Industrial Establishment (Conferment of Permanent Status to workmen) Act, 1981 seeking to confer the permanent status to the petitioner. The said application was allowed by order dated 31.08.2015 directing the 3rd respondent to regularize the services of the petitioner. In view of the same, the 2/4

petitioner is entitled for the service benefits on par with his co-employees, however, the said benefits were not extended to the petitioner. In this regard, though the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 13.08.2025 to the respondents, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.08.2025 and pass orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 13.08.2025 will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties. 3/4
