ORDER

This application has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of time for 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

Application No.6337 of 2025 N.ANAND VENKATESH, J.

gm twelve (12) months for passing the award by the sole arbitrator in the arbitration proceedings.

2. Notice was ordered to respondents and the same was served and proof of service was filed on 05.01.2026. Registry was directed to verify if any vakalath has been filed and in the absence of same, print the name of respondents in the cause list. Accordingly, the names of the respondents are printed in the cause list. However, there is no appearance either in person or through pleader.

3. Learned counsel for the applicant submitted that arbitration proceedings is now at the stage of examination of witnesses on the side of claimants.

4. In view of the above, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate for a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
