ORDER

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner to call for the records relating to the impugned resolution in "a item 49/9" dated 27.10.2025 passed by the 1st respondent University, and quash the same, and consequently direct the respondent University, to fill up the remaining post of Assistant Registrar by way of direct recruitment.

2. The case of the petitioner is that there are four posts of Assistant Registrar in the respondent University, of which two posts have already been occupied by way of promotion to the said post. As per the Recruitment Rules, 50% of the vacancy ought to be filled up by way of promotion and 50% by way of Direct Recruitment. Hence, the remaining posts have to be filled up by way of Direct Recruitment. Under these circumstances, the respondent University had conducted a meeting of its Executive Council on 27.10.2025 and by way of impugned resolution in Item 49/9 dated 27.10.2025, the respondents have diverted one post of Assistant Registrar from Direct Recruitment to Promotion quota. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed the writ petition. __________Page 2 of 4

4. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed with a liberty to the petitioner to participate in the future recruitment to the post of Assistant, if otherwise she is eligible. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
