ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to pay the amount towards arrears of difference in Gratuity, arrears of difference in earned leave salary and arrears of difference in pension, with interest at the rate of 12 percentage per annum to the petitioners, within a specified time as fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsels on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners joined the service of the respondent- corporation and retired from services after attaining the age of superannuation. Further, 12(3) Settlement was signed between the corporation and the Unions with effect from 01.09.2016 for revising and fixing the scale of pay and grade pay. After the settlement, the respondents had not settled the difference in arrears of gratuity and earned leave. Therefore, the petitioners made a representation on 19.11.2024, 22.02.2025 and 18.10.2024 respectively to settle the amounts towards difference in arrears of gratuity and earned leave with interest at the rate of 12%, since there is no reply for the said representations, the petitioners have __________Page 2 of 4
come up with the present petition.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondents to dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 19.11.2024, 22.02.2025 and 18.10.2024 respectively and to settle the arrears of difference in gratuity, arrears of difference in earned leave salary and arrears of difference in pension to the petitioners with interest at the rate of 6% p.a. from the date of settlement till the date of actual disbursal of the aforesaid amounts, in accordance with law, if there is no other impediment in disbursing the same, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs.
6. WMP No. 55775 of 2025 filed by the petitioners to permit them to file a single Writ Petition is allowed.
