Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 5th and 6th respondents to pay the difference of accumulated Stipend Arrear Amount of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) for the demand made in the Letter dated 05.09.2023 as per the revised G.Os - i.) G.O.(Ms).No.335, Health and Family Welfare, (MCA-2) Department, dated 29.07.2021 and ii.) G.O.(D).No.98, Health and Family Welfare, (MCA-2) Department, dated 25.01.2023, for the service rendered between December 2022 to April 2023 together with interest till date.

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to pay the arrears of stipend amount to the tune of Rs.50,000/-/- in favour of the petitioner, together with interest till date, for the service rendered from December 2022 to April 2023.

2. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that, she pursued her Post Diploma DNB in NBE Diploma in Family Medicine at Government Medical College, Ramanathapuram, during the year 2022-2024. During the 1st year training of the said Diploma course, the petitioner received a sum of Rs.35,000/- per month towards stipend and she subsequently, received a sum of Rs.47,500/- per month towards stipend during her 2nd year training, as per G.O. (Ms).No.335, Health and Family Welfare, (MCA-2) Department, dated 29.07.2021 and G.O.(D).No.98, Health and Family Welfare, (MCA-2) Department, dated 25.01.2023 respectively. Though the said G.Os were issued prior to commencement of her training, however, the petitioner was not paid with the difference of stipend amount for the first year of training, which comes to around Rs.50,000/-. Thereby, the petitioner along with other aggrieved persons made a representation before the 5th respondent on 05.09.2023 and the same was forwarded to the 6th respondent herein, vide 3/6
communication dated 05.09.2023. However, till date, no action has been taken by any of the respondents for disbursal of the accumulated arrears of stipend amount for DNB Training. Hence, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2023 and to consequently, pay the arrears of stipend amount to the tune of Rs.50,000/- in favour of the petitioner, together with interest, as expeditiously as possible.
5. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that, appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2023 within the time stipulated by this Court.
6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
7. In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of 4/6
the case, directs the 5th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
