ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to revoke the suspension of the petitioner and to reinstate him in the post of Office Assistant within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.The case of the petitioner is that he was working as an Office Assistant (Biyadha) in Arulmighu Ranganatha Perumal Temple in Tiruneermalai from the year 1990 onwards. During the year 2018, a complaint was made against the petitioner alleging that he had had stolen the articles from the Undial by abruptly stopping the CCTV Camera by affixing a bogus seal . Further, it was alleged that the petitioner consumed alcohol while attending the duty. Pursuant to the complaint, the petitioner was placed under suspension and subsequently, a charge memo was issued. However, till date, the enquiry was not concluded against the petitioner.

The petitioner has been kept under suspension for the past six years and he is going to attain superannuation within a few months. Hence the present writ petition has been filed. 3.However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner within a reasonable time to be fixed by this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the disciplinary proceedings would be concluded within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Recording the same, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
