Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 1 to 5 to permanently close the quarrying unit by cancel the lease deed dated 24.06.2022 for quarrying and carrying away minor minerals form Government Karadu Poramboke land comprised in S.F.No.208 (Part -1) over an extent of 1.00 hect situated Akkaraipatti Village, Rasipuram, Taluk, Namakkal Distrct by the 6th respondent for violation of conditions and subsequently take penal action against him in accordance with law.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) In response to the petitioner's allegation regarding inaction on the part of the official respondents in taking action against respondent No.6 for engaging in illegal quarrying, learned State Counsel placed before the Court a copy of the communication dated 06.01.2026, addressed to the State counsel by the Assistant Director, Geology and Mining, Namakkal, along with copy of show cause notice dated 24.10.2025, issued to respondent No.6 on the allegation of illegal quarrying. The same is taken on record.

2. As the respondents have already initiated action against respondent No.6 on the allegation of illegal quarrying, this petition need not be kept pending. The same is accordingly disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
