JUDGMENT

(Delivered by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. Though a challenge is made to the legality and validity of the award passed way back in 1986 on the ground that the acquisition proceedings lapsed in view of the provisions contained in Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, taking into consideration the Supreme Court decision in the case of Indore

Development Authority v. Manoharlal and others1, and further taking into consideration the Supreme Court decision in the case of Delhi Development Authority v. Damini Wadhwa and others2, the appellant, being a subsequent purchaser, has no right to claim lapse of acquisition proceedings.
