ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to comply with the order dated 14.06.2023 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Chengalpattu, in Crl.MP.No.4664 of 2023.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the learned Magistrate, vide order dated 14.06.2023, had forwarded the case for preliminary enquiry and directed the respondent Police to file a report and if prima facie case is made out in the enquiry, register an FIR against the accused person and submit before the Court concered, within a period of one month. He further submitted that pursuant to the order dated 14.06.2023, the respondent Police has conducted enquiry, and finding that no prima facie case is made out, has filed a closure report before the concerned Court on 31.08.2023 itself.

3. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the closure report in the manner known to law, if so advised.
