ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking four months time to complete the investigation and file the final report as per the direction given by this Court vide its order dated 03.02.2025 made in Crl.O.P.No.2567 of 2023.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for petitioners submitted that this Court, while disposing of the petition in Crl.O.P.No.2567 of 2023, had transferred the case pending on the file of the 2nd respondent police to CBCID, Ranipet, Ranipet District and directed the CBCID, Ranipet to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of twelve weeks. Thereafter, the case was __________Page 2 of 4

transferred to CBCID for further investigation and the investigation is still pending. He further submitted that the 3rd respondent (CBCID) is taking every sincere step to track the accused. Therefore, four months time may be granted to comply with the order dated 03.02.2025 in Crl.O.P.No. 2567 of 2023.

3. Taking into consideration the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for petitioners, this Court is inclined to extend the time to complete the investigation and file a final report by a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
