ORDER
This petition has been filed by the State seeking to grant further period of nine months time to file the final report as per the direction given by this Court in its order dated 02.04.2025 made in Crl.O.P.No.15897 of 2024 and Crl.M.P.No.9694 of 2024.
2.This Court is well aware that earlier this Court granted extension of time and this is the second time.

3.Considering the seriousness of the offence and the nature of information and the fact that in a well orchestrated manner the revenue records has been tampered, which is of almost 100 years old. It needs deep and thorough investigation and collection of documents and submission of the same for forensic examination is required. In view of the same, this Court finds that the reason given by the petitioner is reasonable. Further this Court is of the view that putting a time line and curtailing the investigation would only be deterrent for fair investigation. Hence, this Court is inclined to extend the time.
4.Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered and further period of nine months is granted for filing the final report. 19-12-2025 rsi To The Public Prosecutor, High Court, Madras.
