IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT MADRAS

DATED: 12-01-2026

CORAM

THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE K.RAJASEKAR Silambarasan Petitioner(s) Vs The State Rep.by, The Sub Inspector of Police, Thiruvannamalai West Police Station, Thiruvannamalai. Cr.No.247 of 2025.

Respondent(s) PRAYER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of BNSS to enlarge the petitioner on bail in the event of petitioners arrest in Cr.No.247 of 2025 on the file of the Respondent Police.

For Petitioner(s):

Mr.P.Jayachandran For Respondent(s):

Ms.J.R.Archana, GA (Crl.Side)

ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 303(2), 62 of BNS Act 2023 in Crime No.247 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Earlier this Court vide order dated 11.11.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.30785 of 2025, had dismissed the anticipatory bail petition filed by the petitioner with the following observations:

"5. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsels on either side, the fact that the petitioner had used heavy vehicles for illegally quarrying sand and the petitioner has six previous cases pending against him, this Court is of the view that, if the petitioner is released on anticipatory bail at this stage, there is every likelihood of his indulging in similar activities. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner."

3. Now the petitioner has filed this second anticipatory bail petition without any change in circumstance, hence, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition seeking anticipatory bail is dismissed.
