ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is filed seeking to grant time of six months to complete the investigation and file the final report as per the direction given by this Court vide its order dated 12.02.2025 made in Crl.O.P.No.16433 of 2024.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for petitioners submitted that this Court, while disposing of the petition in Crl.O.P.No.16433 of 2024, had transferred the case pending on the file of the 2nd respondent police to CBCID, Vellore, Vellore District and directed the CBCID, Vellore, Vellore District to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of twelve weeks. __________Page 2 of 4

Thereafter, the case was transferred to the CBCID for further investigation and the investigation is still pending. He further submitted that the 3rd respondent CBCID is taking every sincere step to track the accused. Therefore, he prayed that time may be extended by a period of six months.

3. Taking into consideration the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for petitioners, this Court is inclined to extend the time to complete the investigation and file a final report by a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
