ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.05.2024 for grant of compassionate appointment, within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr.A.Vinodraj, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of respondent.

3. The petitioner's father who was employed as a field worker under the 1st respondent died on 23.12.2015. Pursuant to which, the applications for compassionate appointment were submitted by the petitioner on 29.04.2014 as well as her mother on 11.04.2016. As the said applications were not considered, W.P.No.32254 of 2017 was filed before this Court which was dismissed vide order dated 17.10.2022 relegating parties to approach the authorities after resolving their family dispute. Pursuant thereto, a compromise decree came to be passed in the suit in O.S.No.3235 of 2022. However, without considering the same, the respondent had rejected the application of the petitioner's mother by order dated 07.05.2024 while the application of the petitioner remained unconsidered. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 31.05.2024 to the respondent requesting to re-visit the order or rejection. However, the same has not been considered so far. Aggrieved by which, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.05.2024 and pass orders on the same on merits within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Standing appearing for the respondent.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.05.2024 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and to any other interested parties.

7. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
