The Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 18.11.2025 and 09.12.2025 and consequently, grant necessary police protection and 1/4
permission for conducting the temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Bhagavathi Amman and Sri Madurai Veeran Swamy Temple scheduled from 16.12.2025 to 18.12.2025.
Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.S.Santhosh, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), who takes notice on behalf of respondents, submitted that based on the representations of the petitioner, an enquiry was conducted in C.S.R.No.626 of 2025. Simultaneously, on the complaint given by the counter parties, an enquiry was also conducted in C.S.R.No.627 of 2025 and finding that there were rival claims with regard to the administration of Arulmigu Sri Bhagavathi Amman and Sri Madurai Veeran Swamy Temple, the parties were directed to approach the Civil Court. Further, he submitted that earlier in the year 2011, there was a murder in the village. During the year 2015, there was a group clash in the village and hence, a Peace Committee Meeting was conducted and temple festival was also conducted in the year 2015. Thereafter, no festival was conducted in the village. Therefore, the respondent police directed the parties to obtain appropriate orders from the Civil Court regarding the administration of the temples and also for conducting festivals.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands closed and the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Civil Court for getting appropriate orders regarding the administration of the temples and also for conducting festivals. No costs.
