(R3 is suo motu impleaded by orders of this Court today i,e., on 05.12.2026) Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India for issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.07.2025 sent for rectifying the mistake in the Death Certificate bearing No.D-2022:33-767-000053 showing the wife's name as 'Devamma' instead of 'Pappamma'.

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondents 1 & 2 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.07.2025 sent for rectifying the mistake in the Death Certificate bearing 2/6

No.D-2022:33-767-000053 showing the wife's name as 'Devamma' instead of 'Pappamma".

2. The petitioner would submit that his grandmother, Pappamma died on 27.11.2008. It is his case that in the death certificate issued by the respondents her name has been wrongly mentioned as "Devamma". Therefore, the petitioner has made representation to respondents 1 and 2 to rectify the said mistake. Since there is no response the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr. Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader would submit that the concerned authority, i.e., the Registrar (Birth and Death), Nallur Village Panchayat, Osur, Krishnagiri has not been made party to this proceeding.

4. In view of the above submission, the Registrar (Birth and Death), Nallur Village Panchayat, Osur, Krishnagiri, is impleaded as 3rd respondent in this writ petition.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the newly impleaded 3rd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.07.2025 and dispose of the same within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
