ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent to restore the patta in favour of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Based on the 4th respondent's request patta standing in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition was cancelled. The petitioner seeks for restoration of the said patta. He had given a representation on 10.11.2025 to the official respondents for the said purpose. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. Since no adverse orders are Page No.2 of 6
passed against the 4th respondent in this writ petition, notice to the 4th respondent is dispensed with by this Court.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections, if any, from the 4th respondent, the neighbouring land owners as well as any third party as they deem fit, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with on the petitioner's representation, dated 10.11.2025 seeking for restoration of patta in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after giving due consideration to the documents produced by the petitioner, and after hearing the objections, if any, from the 4th respondent, the neighbouring land owners and any other third Page No.3 of 6
party, whom the 2nd respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
