Mr.R.N.Amarnath Order The petitioner is seeking for a limited relief in this Civil Revision Petition.

2.The petitioner seeks for an early disposal of the suit O.S. No.9136 of 2019 pending on the file of the XXII Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.

3.As early as on 04.10.2017, the Division Bench of this Court directed that the recording of evidence in the suit shall be completed by the learned Master on or before 31.01.2018. Subsequent to the said direction, due to change in pecuniary jurisdiction, the suit was transferred to the City Civil Court, i.e. the XXII Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai. The petitioner is the defendant in the suit. The suit has been filed seeking compensation on account of the alleged fraud committed by the defendant. 4.Since the petitioner is seeking only a limited relief i.e., for early disposal of the suit, no prejudice will be caused to the respondents if such a direction is issued in the respondents' absence. The petitioner claims that the trial has commenced and the stage of the trial is for cross examination of the plaintiffs' witness.

In the interest of justice, since the suit is of the year 2013, necessarily, a direction will have to be issued to the Trial Court to dispose of the suit within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.Accordingly, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of by directing the XXII Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai to dispose of the suit O.S. No.9136 of 2019 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents in this C.R.P., notice to the respondents is dispensed with by this Court. No costs.
