PRAYER: Writ Petition (Criminal) is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus or direction in the nature of writ, to direct respondents 1 to 6 to ensure the safety, security, life, liberty and property of the petitioner and his family members by considering his representation dated 08.12.2025 to the authorities by conducting enquiry to take appropriate action against the illegalities committed by respondents 7 to 9 within a time frame fixed by this Court and to provide necessary protection to the family members of the petitioner. O R D E R
The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 6 to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members, based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025.
Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the 2/5
admission stage itself. Notice to respondents 7 to 9 is dispensed with inasmuch as no order prejudicial to their interest is passed. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had sent a representation dated 08.12.2025 to respondents 1 to 6 to enquire into and take appropriate action against the illegalities committed by respondents 7 to 9. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the present petition has been filed. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025, an enquiry is being conducted by the sixth respondent police in C.No.16942534/2025 and that despite the issuance of summons by the sixth respondent, the petitioner has not appeared for the enquiry.
Therefore, due to the petitioner's noncooperation, no progress has been made in the enquiry. He assured that if the petitioner appears for enquiry, the same will be conducted and appropriate action will be taken within a period of four weeks.
directs the petitioner to appear before the sixth respondent on 08.01.2026. The sixth respondent shall conduct enquiry and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025 within a period of four weeks from 08.01.2026.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
