The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 118(2), 351(3) of BNS and under Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2022, in Crime No.332 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner is the husband of the defacto complainant and due to a wordy quarrel, he attacked her with an iron rod and punched her eyes, causing severe injuries. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was falsely implicated in this case and he was not involved in the above said offence. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court, hence sought for anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police, while opposing the anticipatory bail, reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that severe injuries were caused to the 2/4

defacto complainant, and her eyes were also severely damaged. Hence, he opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Considering the nature of the allegations and the fact that the victim has sustained grievous injuries all over her body, this Court is not inclined to allow this Criminal Original Petition.
