2. Learned counsel for the respondent/plaintiff admitted that the appellant/defendant is in possession of the property and residing there. Though Mr.K.Hariharan, learned counsel appearing for the appellant submits that patta has been granted in favour of the appellant and there is no necessity to pay any rent, without prejudice to the rights of the parties, it is appropriate to direct the appellant to deposit a sum of Rs.3,000/- per month to the credit of the suit, which shall be re-invested in interest bearing fixed deposit till the disposal of the Appeal Suit.
