ORDER
The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(C ), 4(1)(A) of TN Prohibition (Amendment) Act in connection with the Cr. No.244 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 09.10.2025, the respondent police conducted regular vehicle checkup and found the petitioner illegally transporting 51 nos of MCLENE bottles each of 180 ml. Hence, the case.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is innocent person, and he has been falsely implicated by the respondent police and he is no way connected with the offences as alleged by the prosecution and hence he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the respondent police has seized 51 nos of MCLENE bottles each of 180 ml from the accused. She further submitted that the petitioner has four cases pending against him, similar in nature and raised strong objection for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the objection raised by the learned Government Advocate and the previous antecedents of the petitioner who has four previous case, similar in nature, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
