ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) The prayer sought herein is for a writ of mandamus, to direct the first respondent to grant one-way transfer from the City Civil Court, Chennai, to the District Court, Dharmapuri, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2025 and additional representation dated 30.09.2025.

2. The petitioner wants to get one-way transfer, for which, he has given a representation on 06.08.2025 and an additional representation on 30.09.2025 and in order to consider the said representations and to pass orders, seeking a mandamus, he has filed this writ petition.
3. Transfer is not a matter of right. Due to administrative exigencies or contingencies, routinely, such transfers are being made. When that being the position, no mandamus could be issued to the transferring Authority to transfer a particular employee on his own will and request. Whenever such a request is given by any employee, it is for the concerned employer, who is the Authority to give transfer or to refuse the same, to decide such representation on merits and in accordance with law. For such purpose, the Court cannot issue a mandamus, which will set a wrong precedent.
4. In that view of the matter, the prayer sought herein cannot be acceded and the writ petition is liable to be dismissed, accordingly, it is dismissed. No costs.
