ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned VIII Metropolitan Magistrate / Judicial Magistrate, George Town, Chennai - 600 001 to dispose of the case in S.T.C.No.1954 of 2022 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the complainant in S.T.C.No.1954 of 2022 pending on the file of the VIII Metropolitan Magistrate / Judicial Magistrate, George Town, Chennai - 600 001 for the offence under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. He would further submit that though the case is of the year 2022, trial has not been completed.

3. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the learned VIII Metropolitan Magistrate / Judicial Magistrate, George Town, Chennai - 600 001 to dispose of the case in S.T.C.No.1954 of 2022, by following the mandate of Section 143(3) of the Negotiable Instruments Act, as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
