ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to pay difference in leave salary and difference in gratuity with 10 percentage interest as per 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 to the petitioners.
2. Ms.S.Pavithra, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The case of the petitioners is that they joined the service of the 1st respondent Corporation as Helpers and Technical Staffs and retired from service during the years 2023 and 2024. Subsequently, the 15th wage settlement was arrived at on 29.05.2025, pursuant to which wage revision was given with effect from 01.09.2023 and monetary benefit was given effect from 01.01.2022. However, the difference in leave salary and the difference in gratuity, calculated on the basis of the revised pay, have not been settled to the petitioners till date. Therefore, the petitioners made a representation dated 17.09.2025. However, the
said representation has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioners have preferred the present Writ Petition.
4. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 17.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.
6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and any other interested parties.
7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
