COMMON ORDER The Criminal Miscellaneous Petition in Crl.M.P.No.230 of 2026 filed by the de-facto complainant in Crime No.12 of 2025 on the file of All Women Police Station, Egmore, Chennai-600008, for cancellation of anticipatory bail granted by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.29272 of 2025 in favour of the second respondent. At the same time, the second respondent has also filed in Crl.M.P.No. 231 of 2026 for extension of time for executing the sureties and complying the other conditions imposed by this Court in the very same order. 2.Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No.230 of 2026 submitted that the second respondent had already availed anticipatory bail and failed to comply with the conditions as ordered by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.29272 of 2025 vide order dated 28.10.2025.

Subsequently, the second respondent had also chosen to file a petition for extension of time to surrender, execute the sureties, and comply with the conditions imposed by this Court in Crl.M.P.No.22526 of 2025 dated 27.11.2025. Even thereafter, the second respondent, without utilizing the above opportunities, had not come forward to comply with the conditions. Hence, there is violation of bail conditions which a valid ground for the cancellation of bail.

3.The learned counsel for the second respondent (Bail Petitioner) submitted that though the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.29272 of 2025 was received by them as early as on 10.11.2025, due to the time taken to arrange for the sureties and to comply with other conditions, he was unable to execute the sureties within time limit granted by this Court. He further submitted that the second respondent had been unwell and his father was also unwell, and subsequently, he had also obtained an extension of time for executing the bond, which was ordered on 27.11.2025. However, the copy of the order was made ready on 19.12.2025. In the meantime, the health conditions of the father also deteriorated, therefore, the second respondent was unable to execute the sureties.

He further submitted that there was no intentional violation of the bail conditions and that he is ready to surrender and comply with the conditions imposed by this Court. 4.I have also gone through the orders passed by this Court and other connected materials, as well as the nature of allegations made in this petition. I am of the view that instead of cancelling the bail condition, if the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent by extending further time to the second respondent for one more week, will meet the ends of justice.

Court further directs the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No. 231 of 2026 to execute the sureties within one week from the date of copy of this order made ready. 5.Accordingly, the cancellation of bail petition in Crl.M.P.No.230 of 2026 shall stands closed, and the extension petition in Crl.M.P.No.231 of 2026 is ordered, directing the bail petitioner to surrender within a week and appear before the respondent police as ordered by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.29272 of 2025, dated 28.10.2025.
