ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to give the copy of the reasons given by the Expert Committee for rejecting the objections raised by the first petitioner to 7 Tentative Key Answers namely, Question Nos.48, 49, 50, 59, 145, 155 and 161 and the second petitioner to 9 Tentative Key Answers namely, Question Nos.49, 50, 59, 80, 91, 145, 155, 156 and 160 in order to comply with the principles of natural justice and Article 14 of the Constitution of India.
2. Heard the learned Senior counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondent Board.
3. The brief facts of the case is as follows:- 3.1. The respondent issued notification dated 10.07.2025 inviting applications for the Post of PG Assistants for various subjects, including Economics. The first petitioner belongs to SC and second petitioner belongs to MBC category, being qualified and eligible candidates submitted their applications and appeared for the Written Examination held on 12.10.2025. The Written Examination consisted of 180 Multiple Choice Questions divided into two parts (I) Part A (Tamil Eligibility Test) (30 Questions) and Part B (Subject Knowledge) (31 to 180 Questions). The result of the examination was released __________Page 2 of 7
by the respondent and qualified candidates were called for certificate verification on 27.11.2025 and the petitioners secured 83 and 74 marks respectively. Upon release of the question booklet with key answers, the first & second petitioner raised objections to 7 Tentative Key Answers namely, Question Nos.48, 49, 50, 59, 145, 155 and 161 and 9 Tentative Key Answers namely, Question Nos.49, 50, 59, 80, 91, 145, 155, 156 and 160 respectively to the respondent on 29.11.2025. However, without any communication, the respondent had rejected their candidature and hence, the present Petition for the afore-stated relief.

The learned Senior counsel for the petitioners submitted that the respondent Board has not considered the representation/objections dated 29.11.2025 raised by the petitioners herein and also without any communication to the petitioners, has rejected their candidature and hence, the present Writ Petition.

Per contra, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent contended that the respondent Board had conducted the examination and published the result by strictly following the procedures and rules, however, in response to the contentions raised on the side of the petitioners, he submitted that there may be a direction to the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation/objections dated 29.11.2025, within a reasonable __________Page 3 of 7
time.
6. I have considered the submissions made by the respective learned counsels and also perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the submissions made by the respective learned counsels, this Court directs the respondent Board to consider the petitioners' representation/objections dated 29.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected WMP No.127 of 2026 is ordered. There shall be no order as to costs.
