ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025 and to cancel the electricity connection given in the name of the third respondent.
2. The first petitioner is the father of the second petitioner. The first petitioner would submit that he is the absolute owner of house property situated at 225/A/1B1 having an extent of 0.035 cents (out of 0.75 cents) in Seiyur Taluk, Perukaranai Village, Kancheepuram District. The subject property was purchased by him on 17.07.2000 from his vendor one Venkatchalam Achari and he had been in possession and enjoyment of the subject property. According to the first petitioner, his vendor had not sold the remaining portion of the property, however, the third respondent with the help of forged documents, had obtained electricity connection in his name by providing the survey number of his property, as proof. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners had submitted
several representations to the official respondents on 13.12.2023, 19.08.2024, and the last one was on 06.10.2025, to disconnect the electricity service connection standing in the name of the third respondent. Since, their representations were not considered, the petitioners are before this Court.
3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and also perused the materials placed before this Court.
4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought by the petitioners in the present writ petition, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.10.2025, conduct a detailed enquiry after issuing notices to all parties concerned, afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as well as to the third respondent and thereafter, take necessary action on the same. The entire exercise shall be concluded within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
