O R D E R

The present writ petition has been seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 04.12.2025 seeking Fire Licence renewal in respect of the 2nd respondent association.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that though entire tower, common areas, services, statutory documents and fire safety systems have been handed over to the second respondent association, in the interest of resident safety, they submitted an application for renewal of Fire Licence to the Amalifer Tower on 06.11.2021, but after inspection the application was rejected citing two defects, which was immediately rectified and a fresh application was given on 22.04.2022. The said application was also rejected on the ground relating to set back and aerial ladder access. According to the petitioner, though the petitioner was offering technical assistance to inspect and rectify fire safety systems, the second respondent is not cooperating and hence the petitioner sent a representation dated 04.12.2025 to the first respondent expressing concerns over non-renewal of fire licence in the name 2/4

of second respondent, but till date no action has been taken by the first respondent. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Mr.Yogesh Kanndasan, learned Special Government Pleader accepted notice for first respondent and Mr.D.S.Rajasekaran, learned counsel representing Mr.Rohan Rajasekaran, accepted notice for second respondent.

4. Mr.D.S.Rajasekaran, learned counsel submitted that the second respondent has no objection for conducting a joint inspection by the Authorities.

5. Considering the above submission, this Court directs the first respondent to conduct an inspection in the presence of the petitioner and the second respondent and take a decision on the application submitted by the petitioner for renewal of fire licence in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
