ORDER

This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.08.2024 for transferring the petitioner from 4th respondent's college to any places in Cuddalore District for the post of Record Clerk.

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Record Clerk in the Annamalai University at Cuddalore and was found surplus nonteaching staff by the second respondent. Hence, he was appointed as surplus non-teaching staff in the fourth respondent college as Record Clerk for a period of three years on agreement basis. Though the petitioner has completed more than three years of service in the fourth respondent college, 2/6

the second respondent has not transferred the petitioner to the parent department i.e., Annamalai University. Hence, he made a representation through online dated 22.08.2024 to the second respondent, seeking transfer to any post at Cuddalore District in the Educational Department, as there are vacancy of Record Clerk is available. However, the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2024.

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2024 will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
