... 3 Respondent/ 1 Respondent This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr. G. Vasudevan, learned counsel for the Appellant/ insurance company and Mr.S. Suresh Kumar, learned counsel for the respondents 1 and 2/ claimants are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.25,40,200/-, with interest at 7.5% per annum, from the date of petition till the date of realization (excluding the default period, if any). Aggrieved by the award of the Tribunal, the appellant/ insurance company preferred the present appeal.

2. After due deliberation and consultation, both the parties have agreed to settle the award to a sum of Rs.25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs Only), as full quit compensation, inclusive of the interest.

3. Hence, the appellant/ insurance company is directed to deposit the amount of Rs.25,00,000/-(Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs Only), arrived to a settlement today, less the amount already deposited, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, to the credit of M.C.O.P.No.5219 of 2021 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (II Judge, Court of Small Causes, Chennai and on such deposit, the respondents 1 and 2 herein/ claimants are directed to withdraw the same in equal share.

4. The Tribunal is directed to transfer the above said award amount to the Bank account of the respondents 1 and 2 herein/ claimants by way of NEFT / RTGS, on proper identification, in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition.

5. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected civil miscellaneous petitions, if any stand closed. The Manager, Reliance General Insurance Company Limited, th Reliance House, 6 Floor, No.6, Haddows Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai - 600 034.
