mmi documents. Although the said service was not in accordance with the Original Side Rules, the first defendant has filed the written statement along with an application for condonation of delay by reckoning the date of receipt of the above mentioned notice as the date of service.

2. Considering the reasons set out in the affidavit and the facts and circumstances detailed above, the first defendant has made out sufficient cause. Therefore, this application is allowed as prayed for. Consequently, the Registry is directed to receive the written statement of the first defendant.
