ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the first respondent to appoint the petitioner in any suitable cadre in the Highways Department on the basis of Compassionate ground, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.08.2025 and to pass appropriate orders thereon.

2. Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she is the wife of Late T.Kumaravel, who worked as Road Supervisor in the office of the third respondent and died on 11.08.2022 while in service. Consequently, the petitioner herein made a representation dated 20.02.2025 to the respondents 2 and 3, seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. However, the same has also not been considered till date and therefore, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.
