The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to provide police protection for fencing the petitioner's property, based on the his representation dated 23.05.2025. Mr.S.Santhosh, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. 3.
In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Notice to respondents 2 to 4 is dispensed with inasmuch as no order prejudicial to their interest is passed. 4.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that respondents 2 to 4 caused disturbance to the petitioner and created a ruckus while the petitioner attempted to fence his property, comprised in Survey Nos.35/1B, to the extent of 0.2.40 acres, situated at Akara Orathur Village, Nagapattinam Taluk, Nagapattinam District. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation to the first respondent police on 23.05.2025 seeking police protection. Since no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 23.05.2025 was received by the first respondent on 26.05.2025 and that based on the said representation, an enquiry was conducted by the first respondent in C.S.R.No.774 of 2025. He further submitted that the enquiry was subsequently closed on 03.06.2025, as the dispute between the parties was found to be civil in nature and the parties themselves had agreed to approach the civil court.

Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands closed. No costs. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Court concerned to get his grievance redressed.
