ORDER

The petitioner Joint Director of Municipal Administration/ Commissioner, Avadi Municipality, filed this writ petition criminal on the premise that the petitioner was victimised based on audit report and the audit report was prepared by 6th respondent, who had some issues with the petitioner and hence, filed this writ petition criminal.

2.The learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submitted that his primary prayer is that in the audit objection para - 33 (7), 33 (8) of the year 2021, some serious objections raised with motivation. Further, he fairly submitted that now, he is in possession of proceedings of the special committee, headed by District Collector, Tiruvallur, dated 23.12.2025 and as per proceedings, Sl.No.37 pertains to paragraph 33 item 7 and Sl.41 pertains to paragraph 33 item 8 and from the report, it is seen that both these paragraphs have been deleted. Hence, nothing may survive in the writ petition criminal and sough appropriate orders to be passed. He further submitted that the petitioner earlier sent a complaint to DVC on 10.12.2025, which was received on 15.12.2025, which was forwarded to the Director of Municipal Administration for taking necessary action and though this communication is stated to have been received by the petitioner on 18.12.2025, it was received only yesterday and the same produced before this Court.

In view of the subsequent development, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petitioner criminal. Accordingly, the writ petition criminal is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order 22-01-2026 sms
