ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to direct the first respondent to register the Sunnathwal Jamath Rahmath Pallivasal and Madarasa Wakf, Ukkadai under Section 36 of the Wakf Act 1995, based upon the report given by the second respondent and the petitioner representation dated 12.10.2017 and 14.11.2025 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Even though this case ought to have been filed before the Madurai Bench, now that both the counsels are before this Court, the prayer that is made is also innocuous, to consider the representation of the petitioner to enumerate one of the waqfs and register the same.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Waqf Board also submits that they will consider the request in accordance with law, more specifically under Section 36 of the Waqf Act, 1995.

4. The same is recorded. Let the above said exercise be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. It is made clear that any further proceedings shall be initiated only before the Madurai Bench and will not be entertained before the Principal Bench. 2/4

5. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. 18.12.2025 nsl To 1.
