Respondent(s) PRAYER:-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for an issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing 1st respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner for the property comprised in survey No.25/81 and 25/8-2, New T.S. No.3 and T.S. No.5 ward C Block No.16, Kodaikanal, Dindigul District Measuring an extent of 2.03.05 hectares, by considering the

petitioners representation dated 29.10.2022 within a reasonable time to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the 1st respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition based on the petitioner's representation dated 29.10.2022, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner aggrieved by the delayed disposal of the petitioner's application seeking for issuance of patta for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, earlier filed a writ petition before this Court in W.P.No.24643 of 2014. In the said writ petition, by order dated 04.08.2022, the order impugned therein was quashed and the matter was remanded back to the respondents for fresh consideration and it was also made clear by this Court that final order will have to be passed as expeditiously as possible. According to the petitioner, despite the direction being issued by this Court vide order dated 04.08.2022, till date the request of the petitioner for issuance of patta in his name has not been considered by the respondents by passing final orders.

3.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to the respondents to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 29.10.2022, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, seeking for issuance of patta in his name. 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 29.10.2022 seeking for issuance of patta in his name for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition by passing final orders within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
