O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.09.2024 and accordingly direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner to any non sensitive post.
2. Heard the learned counsels on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was initially appointed as Revenue Assistant in the Villupuram Municipality on 21.01.2000 and thereafter, promoted as Assistant on 20.08.2016 and served in various places. He continued that when the petitioner was working in the third respondent office, based on the complaint of one Venkatesan/Sanitary worker, he was arrested by the officials of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption for demanding bribe on 03.07.2024 and remanded to judicial custody for 33 days, for which, the impugned order of suspension was issued by the second respondent on 08.07.2024 with effect from 03.07.2024. He further submitted that without any fault on the petitioner, he
was arrested and placed on suspension and on his release on bail, the petitioner made representation to the second and third respondent to revoke the orders of suspension and to permit him to rejoin the duty in any non sensitive post. However, there was no action on the part of the second and third respondent and hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.09.2024 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, if not already passed, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs.
