ORDER
This writ petition (Crl.) has been filed to direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.12.2025 seeking to issue
certified copies of documents.
2. It is the case of the prosecution that the petitioner's wife was found missing from his house on 21.11.2025. Despite due search, the petitioner was unable to trace her and hence, lodged a complaint before the second respondent police on the same day. Based on the said complaint, a case in Cr.No.725 of 2025 was registered on 21.11.2025. Subsequently, the petitioner's wife was traced on 24.11.2025. Thereafter, the second respondent police recorded statements from the petitioner, his wife, his parents and certain other persons, and the said case was thereafter closed. Seeking certified copies of the FIR, complaint, closure report and statements obtained from the petitioner, his wife and parents, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 21.11.2025 before the second respondent. However, the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present petition.

Though very many grounds have been raised in the present petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.
4. Per contra, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the
respondents submits that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Cr.No.725 of 2025, was registered. The FIR was forwarded to the jurisdictional Court without delay and statements from the petitioner, his wife and parents were recorded.
5. He further submits that, during the course of the investigation, the whereabouts of the petitioner's wife became known and consequently, the respondents closed the case as 'Further Action Dropped' (FAD). He further submits that though the respondent police attempted to serve the closure report / RCS notice on the petitioner, he refused to receive the same. The respondent police are now taking effective steps to serve the closure report on the petitioner through RPAD and to file a copy of the final report along with the statements recorded from the petitioner, his wife and his parents before the jurisdictional Court.
6. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the respondents police to serve RCS notice on the petitioner and to file the closure report before the concerned Court. Upon such filing, the petitioner is directed to approach the Court concerned and apply for the certified copies of the requisite documents.
