ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions would submit that the petitioner is willing to prefer an appeal as against the impugned order passed by the first respondent dated 17.09.2025.

2. Admittedly, there is an appellate remedy available to the petitioner if he is aggrieved by the impugned order dated 17.09.2025. The same is also provided under the impugned order itself, which makes it clear that if the petitioner is not satisfied with the impugned order, he may prefer an appeal before the District Collector, Puducherry, within 30 days, as per Rules 26 and 27 of the Pondicherry Settlement Rules, 1970.

3. Since the petitioner is inclined to prefer an appeal as against the impugned order, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to file an appeal as against the impugned order before the competent authority as disclosed in the impugned order, within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon filing the appeal within the time stipulated by this Court, the competent authority shall entertain the same and pass final orders thereafter by adhering to the principles of natural justice, as expeditiously __________Page 2 of 4

as possible. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
