ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's property from being grabbed by the fourth and fifth respondents.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner had entered into an agreement of sale with the fourth respondent in the year 2007 to purchase the vacant land of the fourth respondent and the petitioner had paid a sum of Rs.25,50,000/- towards sale consideration and possession has also been handed over to the petitioner. Despite the request made by the petitioner, the fourth respondent has not executed the sale deed in favour of the petitioner till date. It is her further case that the fourth respondent and his henchmen had trespassed into the property and caused damage. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

3. When the matter is taken up today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, would submit that originally, a complaint was given on 20.02.2024 and since, the petitioner

did not co-operate in the enquiry, the same was closed. It is his further contention that the petitioner has given the present complaint to the Inspector General of Police, Alandur and if the said complaint is forwarded to the second respondent, enquiry will be conducted within a period of six weeks.

4. In view of the above submissions, the Inspector General of Police, Alandur is directed to forward the complaint of the petitioner to the second respondent and the second respondent, on receipt of the same, shall conduct enquiry and take steps in accordance with law within a period of six weeks thereafter.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition [Criminal] is disposed of.
